Mentorship Program

Central Texas ACHE 2026 Mentorship Program

Central Texas ACHE’s mentorship program for builds connections throughout our region, designed for members at any point in their careers. Interested participants are encouraged to apply as either a mentor or mentee. The committee will match pairings based on the information provided for a six-month commitment May through October.

More about the Program

All participants as part of mentorship requirements, must:

Be an active member of ACHE at the time of application (student membership is accepted)
Complete 6 contact hours (virtual or face to face) with the assigned mentee/mentor
Complete a post-program closing survey to share experience and feedback
Notify the Mentorship Committee immediately of any issue or concerns (no contact, unable to complete program, etc.)

Mentees are expected to:

Be a final year graduate student, early careerist, or mid-careerist

Initiate contact and ensure appropriate communication with the mentor
Select meeting times and locations convenient to mentor, as they are donating their time
Keep a log of activity hours and goals throughout the program
Conduct themselves in a professional manner, including dressing appropriately and being timely
Be motivated and empowered to plan and direct their own professional life

Mentors are expected to:

Be a mid-careerist, late-careerist, or retired
Be available to the mentee in-person and/or by phone or email
Facilitate learning and growth by creating and maintaining a supportive environment
Discuss career/professional development opportunities, skills, and healthcare topics
Act as a resource to the mentee
