Join ACHE-CTx for a Volunteer Event Habitat for Humanity in Waco. This is an excellent opportunity to support our local community as well as earn community/civic volunteer activity hours in support of FACHE certification/recertification.
From the Waco Habitat for Humanity registration page:
Volunteering on a construction site with Waco Habitat for Humanity involves hands-on work to help build new homes with low-income families. Volunteers may assist with a variety of tasks, including painting, siding installation, windows installation, etc. It’s a rewarding experience that not only contributes to providing affordable housing but also fosters a sense of community and teamwork. No prior construction experience is required; training and supervision are provided to ensure that all volunteers can contribute effectively and safely.
Kids 16 and under are not allowed on the worksite. Please ensure to wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you do not mind getting dirty..
